All the birds are now in their new Aviary's

Posted by Norma on Monday 12th July 2010 at 18:35:57

At last all Aviary's are completed, the new one and the old ones are now upgraded.
The birds, Budgerigars, Cockatiels, Plumheads, Ringnecks, Rainbow Lorikeets, Jenday Conures and Sun Conures.
All my birds are loving the extra space, the partially open roofs, and the secluded area for the nest boxes.

Albino hen "Snowball" with "Bandit" a grey green lacewing cock , hiding at the back.

"Attie" A male Sun Conure with his female "Shakira". Both of them were hand-raised by me. In fact "Attie" used to help me to hand-raise the other chicks. He is my baby, and I will miss his help. He is now a mature cock, and hopefully he will produce more of his own offspring.

This is "Bully" a mature Plumhead hen, she was one of 2 females that my son bought for me. Her mate is called "Donny", but he is hiding as he is shy.

"Bully" again with "Donny" above. "Leo" the male Plumhead in the next cage is checking her out, as "Cheeky" his female mate is not talking to him.

Here is "Cheeky" the mate of "Leo", She has decided to find out what he is upto.

My Jenday Conures, "Ken", " Kev", are 2 young males, with their parents, "Dolly" and "Max". They will move into another cage when I get the boys a mate.

"Mommy" and "Squock"  the parents of "Attie".

"Star" with her new mate "Comet", the Rainbow Lorikeets. I hand-raised "Star" for another breeder. and so fell in love wih her, so I bought her from the other breeder.

Some of my Cockatiels, The lighter one is "Chips", one of the females that I have also hand-raised. This season, hopefully she will produce some baby's of her own.

Some of my budgerigars, enjoying the freedom of their new spacious cage. In this cage are 3 baby budgie's that I have recently hand-raised.

Let me introduce you to "Bluey" the grey Ringneck, with his female mate "Cindy" a cinnamon coloured Ringneck. Last season they produced their first 2 offspring, hopefully they will again produce again this year.

Well that is all my birds that hopefully will keepme busy again this year.
In fact the Sun Conures "Mommy and Squock, the Cockatiels and the Budgerigars all have eggs already in their nests. It seems they like their new cages and nest boxes.
